The aim of this project is to organize a seminar series in 2015 on Buddhism and conflict in Buddhist majority states in Asia, focusing on Myanmar, Thailand and Sri Lanka. All three states are dominated by Theravada Buddhism, and all three face severe challenges in building up democratic and stable societies, as well as accommodating for cultural and religious diversity within them.
